Moneyball book cover

This assignment was to create a book cover for a book i have read and the book i chose is money ball by michael lewis.  This book is about a baseball scout who had a brief career in the league.  I'm happy with the way this cover turned out because it is simple but informative.

19 minutes by Jodi Picoult

This assignment was to create a book cover for a book i have read and the book i chose is nineteen minutes by jodi picoult.  This book is about a troubled kid who decides to bring a gun to school to get revenge.  I am happy with the way this cover turned out because i think it is a little scary and mysterious like the book.

Coal Soccer

For this project the assignment was to create an image of a surreal sport.  I chose the sport of coal soccer.  This is where soccer players play the game barefoot on a bed of burning coals.  Also instead of using a soccer ball, they use an oversized grenade.  It took me a while to merge the bare legs with the soccer players but i think i finally got it to look natural.

Eye of the Tiger

I had an idea of taking a close up picture of someones eye that already had cheetah colors in it and adding the prints and filtering it to make it look more prominent.  I'm happy with the way it came out because the pattern curves with the eyeball.
